 DYING TO LIVE

Dear Chain smokers,

I hate you, I hate not being able to breather when I am around you. I hate the fact that I have to choke for my last breath of air before you decide to put it out. I felt like coming over there and choking the day lights out of you. Only problem with that is you might just charge me with assault, and attempted murder.

Everywhere you go, you have to smoke. Not even thinking about those around you. I swear every time I see you I wish that I could just shove that cigar down your throat, so you can see how we feel. You smoke anywhere with no regards to your surroundings and those around you. You make me sick. I HATE YOU SELFISH PIGS

I am so tired of not being about to walk down the street without smelling or inhaling some form of smoke. You see us walking by and blow smoke in our faces and think that we should be ok with that. You have no manner and no respect for others. You smoke in front of children, not thinking about the lasting affect it will have on them. Nor caring about the health problems that they will have to encounter later on in life. Maybe you don’t care about your health but others so.

Seems like we should be walking about with gas masks everywhere just to avoid dying from these chain smokers. It’s really sad that these people do not take pride in their lives. If you chose to die early that’s on you, but please do not put my life at risk too. Smoking kills but second hand smoke is even worst. Children and adults alike will suffer from many health issues just because of second hand smoke alone. I WOULD LOVE TO LIVE A LONG AND HAPPY LIFE THANK YOU

Boarding in Hell

The reading that Dan Josefson gave was such a insight of his new book, "That's Not A Feeling".  He starts off a bit shy, but as he gets into the reading he really draws you in. The overall demeanor of the presenter was enough to make you want to buy the book.

Dan Josefson’s reading was very interesting, he was very soft-spoken. He started out a little nervous but still was able to get the crowd into the story. The crowd was very attentive and was completing into the reading.

The story started out at a boarding school for problem children. The most interested part was that one of the main characters was the narrator, and his story was just as interesting as the rest.  The head master as well as the teachers seems to also have their own problems. The story is very well written and the presenter was a great story teller.\

Dan’s inspiration came from working in a boarding school. He was a very clean cut style for his 1st novel. During his Q&A he had a very cheerful and confident demeanor. He happily answered every question, and had the crowd very focused on his every word.

This booking reading was my first and it won’t be my last. I feel that even though presenter was very shy at the beginning of the reading he really improved the more he read the story. His overall presentation was very good and the story was something I would recommend to my friends and family

Digital is better

Digital is better

Digital is everything in this new age, everywhere you go. The world we live in revolves around digital it’s a wonder how we ever lived without it. Dan blank say’s in his article “Why digital is better than print”, how people are not into print that much. Some people agree and other may not. Digital is better than print.

Digital is so much a part of this generation that no one even takes the time to think about the fact that print once was a source for everything. Unlike print digital is very Eco- friendly, compact and has no limit. Print never changes form, and is very expensive to change. Also print is not environmentally friendly.

Print cannot be altered in anyway, and it is very expensive to change unlike digital. Digital can sometimes lead to false information, and copy right issues.”Because digital media is inherently connected to services and new applications each piece of information can find itself being stretched and morphed in new ways to solve a need” (2). Although there are a few con’s to digital, it is great for the environment.

Digital is convenient, and green. You can multitask, and you have unlimited access to it. With digital there is less paper so that means there will be no ink stains. Dan Blank states “But when considering the education needs of the planet, and the productivity needs of all businesses, there is clearly a better way “(7). It empowers the masses and encourages creation. Creating is so much easier when it comes to digital, everything is so limitless.

I think digital is a lot better than print. More people would agree with Dan Blank. Whether is at home, school or on vacation we never leave home without our computers and cell phones. Digital is better than print for the simple fact that digital is fore ever getting better with each generation. Digital is our future.
